This will ward off prying eyes to ensure that your secrets remain secrets (and is also helpful if you are hiding your craft for whatever reasons). Once you have found what kind of book you want your grimoire to be, one of the first steps should be adding a protection sigil (or other protection symbols). If you don't want a binder but don't want a fancy grimoire, simple notebooks work just as well (but be sure you like the paper inside lined paper is awful if you want to add art to your grimoire and you may want to consider watercolor paper). Another option is a binder, which allows you to easily reorganize papers. For example, you could find a fancy, leather book to write in that gives you witch vibes (although I recommend having a practice grimoire to mess up in if you choose this). Traditionally speaking, personal grimoires are kept secret and not shared, although in the modern world, many witches share pictures of pages within their grimoires. It is essentially a book in which you write spells, information about your path, and any other information you have learned about witchcraft and wish to be able to reference at a later day. A grimoire (which also goes by several other names, the most popular being book of shadows) is a tool used to accumulate knowledge about magick.
